Filter & Compare
How filters and comparison periods work across Kleio.
Overview
Filters and comparison periods let you narrow and compare the data shown across Kleio. Open them by clicking the icon in the top right on all pages. When any filter is active, a dot indicator appears on the icon so you know at a glance that your view is filtered.
- General filters — apply across most pages. These are always shown at the top.
- Page-specific filters — shown on pages where extra filters might be needed.
General Filters
Channel
Controls which sales channels are included.
- All — every channel (default)
- Online — all online sales (includes all online channels)
- Online (Shopify only) — only sales made through your Shopify Online Store channel
- POS — only Point of Sale transactions
When Online or Online (Shopify only) is selected, ad campaigns marked with “Exclude from online channel” in Settings are removed from ad spend. See more in Ad Spend Filters.
Customer Type
Segments data by customer acquisition status.
- All — all customers (default)
- New — first-time customers only
- Existing — returning customers only
- Subscription — subscription customers only
When Subscription is selected, only ad campaigns whose name contains your configured subscription ads string are included. See more in Ad Spend Filters.
Country
Filters by shipping country.
Order Tags
Filters by Shopify order tags.
Page-Specific Filters
Some pages add their own filters below the general ones. Examples:
- Cohorts — product filter that limits cohorts to customers whose first order contained the selected products
- Missing COGS — field toggles to control which columns are visible
Each page documents its own specific filters where applicable.
Comparison Period
Compare your current date range to a previous period. Available options:
- Last period — the immediately preceding period of the same length
- Previous month — the same dates in the prior month
- Last year — the same dates one year ago
- Last period (weekday match) — previous period shifted to align weekdays
- Previous month (weekday match) — prior month shifted to align weekdays
- Last year (weekday match) — prior year shifted to align weekdays
Weekday-matching shifts the comparison dates so the days of the week line up — your Mondays compare to Mondays, Saturdays to Saturdays. This prevents misleading comparisons where a busy weekend day gets compared to a quiet weekday.
